How does Your VoIP Service Really Compare?

MierConsulting offers unique test services for VoIP service providers, which quantify what your customers really experience.  We can also analyze the comparative quality and performance of your VoIP / IP-telephony service with the PSTN (ILEC) or other VoIP service provider(s).

  • Independent: All testing is conducted by MierConsulting, the leading independent network quality and performance tester.  We acquire and use our own leading-edge gear.
  • Confidential: All testing is done under strict NDA (typically yours), and all results and analyses are delivered only to you, and/or other recipients you specify.  And you own the results and the results reports.
  • Experience: We bring to you our years of conducting quality testing of VoIP service providers, enabling us to accurately and realisticly compare and assess your performance and results.
  • Collaborative: We work closely with your technical staff in developing and executing the test plan, and we keep your people in the loop as to problems we find during testing.

  • End to end: Unlike the internal test capability of most VoIP service providers, MierConsulting employs active testing and measures quality and all metrics on an end-to-end basis.  In many cases we arrange for and set-up off-net test points.

Special test packages for Cable MSOs include:
  • Assessing your voice service quality: metrics include: call completion rate, end-to-end voice and connection quality (MOS), delay, and call-completion time.
    • Your voice service quality, for local and/or remote calls
    • Your voice seervice quality, of on-net and/or off-net calls
    • Your voice service quality, for international (off-net) calls
    • Options include: fax performance and alarm transmission.
  • The performance you get from your long-distance carrier(s) - for off-net calls, and, if applicable, for on-net long-distance calls.
  • Your performance, versus your incumbent local-exchange carrier (ILEC), for local calls
  • Your performance, versus another leading overlay VoIP service provider (i.e., Vonage, Packet8, etc.)
